Abstract

1458021 Protective windows BRISTOL ART METAL CO Ltd 6 Dec 1974 [7 Dec 1973] 56908/73 Heading E1J A security grille for an aperture in a structure, e.g. a door, comprises a first frame 3 with a portion 7 extending inwardly from one side of the structure and carrying a plurality of steel bars 8 and glass plates 9 with overlapping margins transversely spaced, a second frame 4 at the opposite side of the structure, and means fastening the frames together. The second frame has a flange rereceived between flanges 7 and 12 on the first frame, and the fastening means is adjustable so that the frames made be used with doors of different widths. The bars and plates pass through frame 3 and are supported at their lower ends by a U-shaped member (11) attached to frame 3. A flap 5 is hinged to inner frame 2.
