Abstract

1456936 Process and apparatus for treating waste water ISHIGAKI KIKO CO Ltd and I YOKOTA 24 April 1974 17948/74 Heading C1C A process for treating waste water comprises bringing the waste water successively into contact with a number of net units which are arranged in a treating tank with certain intervals therebetween, whereby organic substances are removed due to decomposition by microorganisms which adhere to the said net units to form flocks. An apparatus for treating waste water as above comprises at least one treating tank with inlet and outlet, at least one net assembly which is composed of a number of net units which are arranged in the tank with certain intervals therebetween, and means for bringing waste water into contact with said net units successively. Various ancillary devices may provide recirculation, aeration, sludge scraping and removal and foam-elimination.
