Clinometers. - A clinometer of the pendulum type comprises a pointer a having a forked weighted portion c mounted on a spindle d between glass disks e, the pointer being provided with vanes b to damp its oscillations, these vanes also serving as additional pointers. The casing i is provided with lugs k for attachment to a ruler &c. The graduations h are of varying length to facilitate reading.
