Abstract

1453537 Stabilizing earth; retaining walls FODERVAVNADER AB 20 June 1974 [21 June 1973] 27453/74 Headings E1F and E1H Earth is stabilized by a sheet 7 of metal or synthetic material whose ends are rigidly anchored between two concrete beams 3. Each beam has a rib 4 and a groove 5 on its upper and lower edges respectively to facilitate assembly of the beams and to increase the engagement with the interposed sheet. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 3 the soil behind a quay is stabilized by clamping one end of each sheet 7 between concrete beams 13, 14 and the other end between the concrete beams forming the wall 10. Other embodiments are described (see Figs. 4 to 7, not shown).
