A structural element especially for reinforcing a concrete beam comprises a zigzag wire 6 the bends of which are secured in a single channel in an upper chord 4 and two channels 1 in a lower chord. The bends are secured by punched bosses 9, 12. The edges 5 of the chord 4 may be bent up or down.
