Abstract

1451274 Electric cable FELTEN & GUILLEAUME KABELWERKE AG 1 April 1974 [29 May 1973 9 Aug 1973 15 Sept 1973] 14381/74 Heading H1A [Also in Division H2] A cable 2 for use in a transmission system (see Division H2) has an inner conductor 4 consisting of separate strands of copper or aluminium, an isolated tube 6 which may be metal or a plastic material conveying a coolant 3 such as water. A smooth sheath 7 is arranged around the inner conductor 4 and is covered by an insulating layer 8 of plastics or oil impregnated paper and which in turn is surrounded by electrical screening 9 such as copper tapes. The composite cable is enclosed in a spirally corrugated pipe 10, of aluminium for example, and this has an outer cover layer 11 of a plastics composition and a protecting cover 12 of a plastics material.
