Abstract

1446993 Spray carburetters SOC INDUSTRIELLE DE BREVETS ET D'ETUDES 10 July 1974 [16 July 1973] 30562/74 Heading F1B The bi-metallic coil 5 for operating a choke valve or an auxiliary starting carburetter is heated by a wall 12 in contact with engine cooling water or engine lubricating oil and by an element 13 in contact with an electrical resistance heater 14, the coil being between the wall and the element. The heater 14 may be a positive temperature coefficient pellet of ceramic material containing barium titanate in a circuit including a switch 23 operated on engine starting and a switch 24 which is closed above an engine ambient temperature of 20‹C. The heater 14 may be in contact with a plate (13a), Fig. 3 (not shown), supported by the coil mounting pin 6.
