Abstract

1445221 Valves INST PENTRU CREATIE STIINTFICA SI TEHNICA 27 Feb 1974 [2 April 1973 18 June 1973] 8774/74 Heading F2V [Also in Divisions F4 and F1] A double stage ejector ventilating device for exhausting air from an enclosure comprises first and second coaxial ducts 1, 3 defining secondary air inlets 4, 10, a nozzle 2 within duet 1 supplied in use with compressed steam, air or liquid via a control valve 15 actuatable by sensors 16, 17 responsive respectively to pollution and excessive temperature of the air within the enclosure, and a fixed grid 11 or a pivoted flap 18 at the downstream end of duet 3. The ducts 1, 3 are of square cross-section, are lined with sound absorbing panels 12 made of mineral wool and are mounted by extensible and movable rods 14. A screen 5 of sound insulating material is provided at the inlet 4. The flap 18 is mounted on a pin 20, carries a counterweight 22 and is opened by the pressure of airflow through the duct 3. Fins 24 are mounted on the flap 18 to limit the opening movement of the flap by engagement with a frame 21.
