Abstract

1442927 Liquid polypropylene compositions E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 26 July 1974 [27 July 1973] 33050/74 Addition to 1258549 Heading C3P [Also in Divisions C5 and C2] A gasoline soluble additive composition comprises (a) a gasoline soluble substantially neutral salt of a C 4 -C 10 aliphatic monoamine, each radical attached to the amine nitrogen being attached through a saturated carbon atom, and of a C 8 -C 16 branched chain primary alkyl acid ester of orthophosphoric acid and from 1-50 parts by weight per part of said salt of (b) liquid polypropylene having a number average molecular wt. of 600-1200. Suitable primary, secondary and tertiary amines are listed. The salt may be the isobutylamine or 2-ethylhexamine of a mixture of 40-60 mole per cent mono C 8 -C 13 oxo-alkyl dihydrogen phosphate and 60-40 mole per cent of di C 8 -C 13 oxo-alkyl monohydrogen phosphate.
