Abstract

144,017. Brockhouse & Co., J., and Field, F. April 2, 1919. Sliding seats. - An adjustable sliding seat for vehicles comprises two longitudinally-disposed parallel guide bars or tubes 4, lugs 5 embracing the guides and fixed to the floor 7 of the vehicle, lugs 1 on the underside of the seat 2 adapted to slide along the guides 4, and an adjusting-screw 9 provided with means 15 for turning and carried by lugs 8, 11 on the seat and floor. The guides 4 may be made removable from the lugs 5, and the lug 8, which forms a nut for the screw 9, may be slotted, as shown in Fig. 6, so that the seat may be entirely removed.
