Anti-dazzle screens. -In an adjustable anti-dazzle or sun shield mounted in front of a vehicle windscreen I, and operable from the interior of the car, the shield A is mounted on a transverse shaft, which is pivoted in supports carried on the front of car body and is rotated to effect the adjustment of the shield by mechanical means which automatically support the shield in its adjusted positon. In the anrangement shown, the rotatable transverse shaft carries a pinion C gearing with a worm D mounted on an axle H, which is fitted with a braking device and with a hand-wheel E disposed near the driver's seat. Other mechanical equivalents such as gear-wheels, toothed sectors, or drums actuated by means of wires or endless chains may be employed.
