288,065. Walford, R. S., and Jones, E. June 24, 1927. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Seat adjustments; sliding seats.-A seat for motor vehicles which is longitudinally adjustable in guides 2, 3 and can be locked by transverse bolts 8, 9, is adapted to pivot about the bolts so that access is possible to various parts of the vehicle body. Two L-shaped strips 2, 3 of metal are attached to the floor to act as guides and holes for the bolts are formed in the vertical part of the strips. The bolts are operated by springs 10 and a disc 13, Fig. 4, coupled by eccentricallyplaced pins 14 to a pair of links 15, 16, attached to the bolts. A handle 18 operates the disc 13.
