Abstract

143,647. Gill, C. L. March 4, 1919. Reservoir pens. - Relates to fountain drawing-pens of the kind provided with a pressure device for controlling the supply of ink from the reservoir to the nib. The reservoir 1 is built up from two tubes 2, 3 cemented together at the ends to provide a double wall enclosing air or other bad conductor of heat. A plug 17 fixed in the rear end of the reservoir is provided with a central air-hole 18 enabling the feed of the ink to be controlled by a rubber-feed-cap 19. The internally screwed forward end of the reservoir is adapted to receive the stem 8 of the pen, through which passes the feed-pipe 10, the outer end terminating between the adjustable nib members 13, 14. A wire 15 is provided in the feed-pipe 10 to regulate the feed of ink and for cleaning purposes.
