Abstract

1435587 Two-part couplings BUNKER RAMO CORP 29 May 1973 [12 June 1972 16 Feb 1973] 25445/73 Heading H2E A contact comprises an elongate tubular socket portion 180 open at one end and having a tail 182 extending from the other end, a resilient contact finger 174, 175 on each of two opposite sidewalls 183, 184 of the socket portion inclined inwardly into the socket portion interior from a root to a contact-engagement surface 186, 185 in opposite directions from their respective roots with the contact-engagement surfaces being mutually longitudinally off-set. The contact is folded from a single-piece sheet metal blank and has bevelled edges 191 at its pin 148 receiving opening and its tail is of double thickness with protruding flanges 196 and recesses 198 which engage in the narrow part 158 of a cavity 144 of an insulating body 142 to mount the contact.
