Abstract

1,274,621. Two-part couplings. SEALECTRO Ltd. and S. T. DEAKIN. 27 Jan., 1971, No. 3300/71. Heading H2E. An integrally formed jack plug comprises two parts 2, 3 moulded from flexible insulating material and hinged by a web 4. The combinations of lug 11 with receiving recess 12, tapered recess 15 with undercut knob 16 and undercut step 19 with undercut step 20 releasably lock the two parts together. Bodies 5 and 6 close to form a hollow cylindrical body for an electrical component 26. Half spigot 7 has channels 21, 22 formed in face 13 which abuts face 14 of half spigot 8, when in the closed position. Passageways formed by these channels have apertures 23, 23a and since the apertures are at the points of bends in the passageways, a bend 29, 30 in each conductive member 27, 28 extending from the component 26 is exposed and provides electrical contact with a cylindrical contact 31, 32.
