Abstract

1431215 Two-part couplings MOLEX Inc 13 June 1973 [17 July 1972] 28134/73 Heading H2E The socket contact described in Specification 1,400,466 mounted on a flexible thin circuit 22, is modified by the inclusion of a rib structure 38 extending from the planar body portion 30 in respect of each tang 34 generally parallel to that tang for clamping the circuit between the tang and rib. The space 58 for receiving a mating male blade contact 24 is rectangular in the embodiment illustrated with ribs and lugs along the longer sides, but is shown as circular (Figs. 5-7) with the ribs (96) and lugs (92) arranged around the circumference, and is shown as generally square (Figs. 8-10) with a rib (156) and lug (152) along each side. The contact may comprise a pin (Fig. 11) or female blade (Fig. 14) portion extending laterally from the body portion.
