Abstract
1435225 Valves COMPTEURS SCHLUMBERGER 2 Aug 1973 [2 Aug 1972] 36702/73 Heading F2V [Also in Division G3] A device to supply fluid at constant pressure to a utilization circuit 2 such as a gas analyser comprises a fluid inlet 4 connected to a chamber 10 communicating via valve 16 with a chamber 14 having a flexible metallic wall 20 carrying the stem 22 of valve 16. Chamber 14 is divided into inner and outer regions 38, 40 by a collar 42 secured to the upper wall of chamber 14 but spaced slightly from metallic wall 20. The latter is biased upwardly by a spring 26. Inlet chamber 10 is connected via restriction 28 to a spring loaded pressure relief valve 8, the outlet of which is connected to a leakage outlet 58 from region 40 or chamber 14. An outlet 44 leads from inner region 38 of chamber 14 to utilization circuit 2. To render the device independent of changes in atmospheric pressure a further chamber 62 containing a vacuumsealed bellows 64 controlling a valve 74 may be provided. The latter is urged to the closed position of outlet 72 by spring 66, the compression of which can be adjusted by means 70. Chamber 62 is connected via line 54 to the chamber 24 containing spring 26 and via line 56 to the utilization circuit 2. A pressure gauge tapping 80 is provided.
