Abstract

143,492. Graf, A. May 16, 1919, [Convention date]. Switches, quickaction, have a number ot contact-pieces 2 embedded in grooves or slots in an insulating - base 1, e,ach of the contactpieces being bored with a hole to receive a conducting wire 3, and a spring- pressed metal bridgepiece 5 adapted to connect the contact-pieces in pairs as desired. The wires are scoured in position by a clamping-ring 4. The bridgepiece is mounted on a square portion of a spindle 6 provided with an operating-handle 7, which, in the form shown, serves to maintain the cover 8 in position. In a modification, the cover is secured to the clamping-ring 4 which is screw-threaded for this purpose. The upper surfaces of the contact-pieces 2 are grooved, the co-operating part of the bridge-piece being pressed into the grooves by a spring 9.
