Contacts. - Conducting members are connected together by two blocks with a single spring between them, each block being constructed and arranged according to the parent Specification to make line contact with the conducting members. As shown in Fig. 1, two blocks 1, 1<1> are seated in a fixed conductor 3 with a spring 5<1> between them, limiting stops c, c<1> being formed on the conductor. The movable conductor or switch member 2 has two inclined arms 2<1>, 2<11> which engage the blocks 1, 1<1> with a rubbing contact. Fig. 2 shows a modification in which contact upon two lines is obtained in each seating by means of a prismatic recess p and, Fig. 3, a similar arrangement p<1> on the conductor 2 also. The latter contact is suitable for isolating switches and other self-locking connections. A switch contact for heavy currents is shown in Fig. 4 comprising an aggregation of contacts according to Fig. 2.
