Abstract

252,536. Lundberg, A. P., Lundberg, G. C., Lundberg, P. A. and Pegg, G. May 16,1925. Switches, quick-action; contacts.-Relates to tumbler switches of the " series-parallel," " series-parallel and off," and " two-pole " types. In the first two maintained types there is a contact member to control the series connections and a separate one to control the parallel connection, the latter one comprising two pairs of contacts, viz. a forward and a rearward pair, co-operating with fixed contacts disposed one pair behind the other, the contacts of each pair being electrically separate and corresponding contacts of the pairs being connected together. The contact member of a two-pole switch is similar in operation and construction to that controlling the parallel connection. According to the invention, and as applied to a switch having an action as described in Specification 3328/04, the forward pair is constituted by members 1, 2 of L-shape placed one on the other to form a U-shape member, the rearward pair 3, 4 are carried by the straps 5, 6 which are integral therewith and with the members 1, 2, the parts 1, 3, 5 being insulated from those 2, 4, 6.
