Abstract

368,769. Switch contacts. CALLENDER'S CABLE & CONSTRUCTION CO., Ltd., Hamilton House, Victoria Embankment, London, and WILSON, A. E., 19, Oaklands Road, Bromley, Kent. Dec. 5, 1930, No. 3703/32. Divided on 368,755. [Class 38 (v).] A contact blade is gripped between two members so that contact may be broken by relative sliding of the blade and the two members, and a single bolt passes through the gripping members, and through spring members carrying arcing tips for adjusting the contact pressure. Two bars 5 grip at their ends contact blades 1, and are provided at their ends with spring members 9 having arcing tips 12, bolts 10 which pass through holes at each end of the bars 5, and through holes in extension of the spring members 9 being provided for adjusting the contact pressure. The members 9 are shaped to fit channel recesses in the sides of the bars 5. A bridge 7 having notches 13 for the bolts 10, is situated between the bars 5, and is provided with means for attaching a handle 16. The blades 1 may also have arcing tips.
