1429057 Delivering sheets KLEINDIENST & CO 13 Aug 1973 [19 Aug 1972] 38260/73 Heading B8R Documents are delivered below a guide 8, 8a, Fig. 3, either over a table 3 or on to a stack support 9 according to the setting of a switch 1, which comprises two arms 1a 1b arranged at an acute angle, either welded together at lc or integral with each other. The arm 1a is secured to an angle member 4 projecting through the table 3, and the arm 1b is resilient and secured to a support 2. When an electromagnet 5 is energized the arm la is forced to the right into the position of Fig. 1, flexing the arm 1b and causing the joint 1c to move upwardly and to the right so that documents are deflected downwards. On de-energization of the magnet, the switch returns to the position of Fig. 3. Movement of the switch is permitted by a portion 8a of the guide-plate 8 being bent upwards. Alternatively, the magnet may be in the region of the plate portion 8a. Deflected documents are guided on to the support 9 by cords 10. Each document is moved against a stop 13 by a driven roller 12 mounted on an arm pivoted at 15, and as the stack grows the roller is raised and actuates a switch 16 to lift a locking-plate 18 and allow the support 9 to fall under the weight of the stack 14.
