Abstract

1427684 Wet treatment and drying apparatus BRUCKNER - APPARATEBAU GmbH 18 April 1974 [4 May 1973] 16982/74 Heading D1L Solvent used in the wet treatment of fabric webs is recovered during drying of the web by evaporating the solvent, transferred from the wet treatment zone, into the circulating hot air stream used for drying. Solvent may be applied to the web 1 in the wet treatment zone 2 by means of the transfer roller 4 partly immersed in the solvent reservoir 5. The wetted web may be dried either whilst being passed through the elongated drying zone 3 by conveyor 6 (Fig. 1) or by being passed around the perforated drum 6' (Fig. 2). Solvent from the reservoir 5 is passed via valved line 8 to the evaporation dish 7 disposed in the drying zone, so that the solvent can be evaporated into the hot air stream circulating in the drying zone 3 or 3'. The dish 7 may have a removable foil cover 9.
