Abstract

1387972 Treating textiles BRUCKNER APPARATEBAU GmbH 8 Jan 1973 [18 Feb 1972] 1051/73 Heading D1L Apparatus for treating a textile web 2 comprises a wet treatment zone 3 including roller 5, padder 7 and a vat 6 containing an organic solvent solution of a treating agent (e.g. dyestuff), an applicator roller 11 for applying a finishing medium (e.g. softening agent, waterproofing medium &c) to the surface of the wet treated web, and a drying zone 4 including hot air nozzles 9 and conveyor belt 8 for drying the wet treated and finished web. As illustrated roller 11, which may have a smooth or embossed surface, rotates in a trough 12 of finishing medium, the roller and trough being movable in direction of arrow 14 away from the web surface when no finishing medium is to be applied to the wet treated web.
