Abstract

1424514 Safety closures MARDON ILLING- WORTH Ltd 12 June 1973 [14 June 1972] 27714/72 Heading B8T A container 10 has a safety closure which includes an interrupted flange 12 on its neck 11, a cap 20, and a lock ring 30 having an internal lug 32 which may be slid through the flange interruption when marks, in the form of channels 34, 14, are aligned. The underside 35 of a flange 31 on the ring 30 is contoured to snap over an interrupted bead 22 on the cap, the flange 31 being held between the bead 22 and an interrupted flange 21. Guide surfaces 131 aid in sliding the lug 32 through the flange 12. The members 21, 22 may be continuous, or they may be replaced by an external circumferential groove in the cap into which the ring 30 locks.
