Abstract

1418741 Clamps NORTON ENG ALLOYS CO Ltd 13 Jan 1973 1885/73 Heading E2A A clamping assembly for clamping a grill panel 16 having a plurality of spaced bars 32 to one side of a support member 36 comprises a plate member 14 for engaging one side of the panel and against two adjacent bars 32 and having a central recessed portion 22 thereof located between those two bars, and a second plate member 18 having one end portion 26 adapted to abut against the opposite side of the two said bars such that an upstanding lug 28 is then located between the bars and the other end portion 29 thereof arranged to abut against the opposite side of the support member. A bolt 12 which connects the two plate members together is arranged to pass through the central recessed portion 22 of the plate member 14 with the head thereof located in that portion so as to lie below the surface of the grill. The bolt 12 may engage a nut 20 disposed between the flanges of the member 18 so as to be non-rotatable, or a tapped hole in the member.
