Abstract
1417306 Dispenser for cleansing pads V J DOWLING 29 Oct 1973 [30 Oct 1972] 50198/73 Heading B8P [Also in Division A4] Cleansing pads comprising highly porous paper-based material with backing of water impervious paper are dispensed through a slot 15 in a wall of a dispenser 5 and are impregnated by a cleansing fluid fed from a container 21. The pads 8 including a pull-tab 4 are pressed by a weight 12, or by a spring, towards a floor 7 pivoted at 13 and urged upwardly by a spring 14; a stop 17 limits the downward movement of the floor. The fluid is released from container 21 when the floor is pressed downwardly either by the withdrawal of a spike 24 from a closure plug or by the operation of a pump or by the operator momentarily turning on a stop cock. Alternatively a discharge valve could be provided. The fluid is fed to a well 22 in the floor and reaches the lowermost pad through apertures in a plate 23 or the plate may be of porous material. A grooved spike 27 admits air to the fluid container.
