Abstract
977,574. Delivering measured quantities of powder. NEUCO APPARATEBAU A.G. Feb. 22, 1963, No. 7181/63. Heading B8N. A device for dispensing measured quantities of soap powder comprises a slide 2 having a measuring chamber 3 and adapted to be manually moved below a supply vessel 1, between a filling position and a discharge position against the action of a spring 4, a suction cap 7 being fitted either to the slide or a wall 8 in order to retain the slide in the dispensing position for a predetermined time. When the cup is mounted on the slide as shown it engages with the wall 8 and in order to limit the time of adhesion of the cup to the wall, fine slits 9 may be provided in the latter so as to bleed air into the cup; alternatively a hole in the wall covered by a sheet of permeable material may be used. In a further modification, the suction cup may be secured to the wall and co-operate with a plate on the slide.
