Abstract

The material (2) is pushed form the cartridge (1) by a piston (3). The top of the cartridge has an extension, threaded on the outside (4) and slightly conical (5) inside. A retaining ring is used to hold a nozzle in this location, or the nozzle and ring can be in one piece. A variety of stoppers can be used to close the opening from the cartridge, in general locating on a lip (6) round the opening. These stoppers are shaped so that the inside of the top of the cartridge has a flat surface, in order that the cartridge can be filled without formation or air bubbles.
