Abstract

In a process for controlled discharge of finely divided or viscous materials, the material is continuously introduced into the larger end of a rotating conical chamber whose axis is at such an angle to the horizontal that the part of the conical wall of the chamber which is always at the lowest point forms a passage which is either horizontal or inclined at a small angle upwards from the larger to the smaller end, so that the material can flow through an outlet at the smaller end.
