Abstract

1411007 Spray-producers SOC INDUSTRIELLE DE LILLERS 23 Jan 1973 [28 Jan 1972] 3315/73 Heading B2F [Also in Division F4] An injector for spraying sludge into a furnace has a piston movable by the pressure of the sludge to open an outlet opening 2 defined between a closure member 4 and a mouthpiece 5 at one end of a tube 1, the piston comprising one or more cup-shaped sealing washers 9 of flexible material, the sludge pressure on the piston acting in opposition to a spring 10. The member 4 is hollow and is supplied with fluid, such as air or water vapour, under pressure via piston rod 7 to thereby mix with the sludge. The rod 7 may be guided by radial fins 6 and the washers 9 may be of leather.
