Abstract

1,175,249. Pad applicators. G. SCHWARTZMAN. 6 Dec., 1967 [20 Sept., 1967], No. 55501/67. Heading A4K. [Also in Divisions B8 and F2] A squeeze container 110 is provided with a fluid-absorbent pad 130 mounted on a retaining ring 116. The ring has an opening forming a valve seat 124a closed by a valve head 150 integral with a plate 153, spring members 154, and a ring 152. When the container is squeezed, the valve head 150 is raised against the action of the members 154 to supply fluid material to the pad, the valve preventing dispensed material and/or air from being sucked back into the container.
