Abstract

1,105,347. Pressurized dispensing containers. AEROSOL INVENTIONS & DEVELOPMENT S. A. Oct. 31, 1966 [Feb. 2, 1966], No.48658/66. Heading F1R. [Also in Division F2] Valve for hand-held dispensers has a cupshaped valve member 30 of resilient plastics material slidable in a bore 28 at the junctions of an outlet passage 26 and an inlet passage (12) Fig. 1 (not shown). The valve member is connected with a press-button plunger 38 through a reduced stem 36. The plunger has a projecting bead 42 engaging the bore 28 and located, in closed position of the valve, by a stop 44 on the housing 10. The valve is spring-loaded to this position. The housing 10 may also be of plastics material e.g. polyethylene, and is sealed to the dispenser by a gasket (22) and retained by a turnedover part (20) of the housing. The spring 32 is large enough to exert some radial pressure on the member 30.
