Abstract

1356492 Valves for pressurized dispensing containers PRECISION VALVE CORP 17 April 1972 [7 May 1971] 17528/72 Heading F1R [Also in Division F2] A valve for a pressurized dispenser comprising a valve body 16 provided with a radial valve orifice communicating with a discharge passage and axially movable in a valve housing 14 is provided with an annular resilient sealing gasket 17 which seals the orifice when the valve body is in the rest position and is unseated when the body is moved against the action of a spring 15 (as shown in Fig. 2). An annular projection 23 on the valve body engages the gasket in the rest position and moves relative to the gasket when the valve is operated to dislodge accumulations of product on the gasket. More than one such projection may be provided.
