Abstract

1,267,643. Pressurized dispensing containers. L'OREAL. Feb.2, 1970 [Feb. 3, 1969; March 12, 1969], No.4963/70. Heading F1R. A dispenser contains a liquid or paste 14 above a piston 7 in which is removably mounted a cartridge 9 of pressurizing fluid 13, the cartridge being perforable by a needle 5 which is pushed against the spring 6 to perforate the cartridge 9 just before the substance 14 is to be dispensed. A ring of resilient material 12 presses the supple wall of the piston against the container 1 to improve the seal therebetween. In a second embodiment Fig. 2 (not shown) the wall of the piston extends to the base of the container and the needle has a passageway connecting the space below the piston to the atmosphere, which passageway is closed just before the needle perforates the cartridge. A cardboard ring on the needle prevents accidental operation of the needle.
