Abstract

1412664 Balers WELGER Gebr 17 Aug 1973 [5 Sept 1972] 39065/73 Addition to 1315470 Heading B5F The clutch described in Specification 1,315,470 for a baler knotter shaft 5 is modified by lever 22, which in the inoperative state of the clutch holds spring plate 14 out of contact with drive wheel 10, having an inclined surface 37 which is engaged by roller 20 on the plate 14 to push the lever out of the way when the plate is rotated backwardly. A spring lever 40 is positioned to engage a roller 43 mounted on the pin connecting the plate 14 to the needle lifting lever 9 to prevent roller 20 inadvertently slipping off the lever 22 in the inoperative state of the clutch.
