Abstract
1411110 Central heating; finned heat exchange tubes M VIDALENQ 22 Nov 1972 [23 Nov 1971] 53855/72 Headings F4U and F4S In a central heating installation having at least one pipe 1 through which hot water passes from a boiler around each room, a heat transfer element 22 in the form of complementary units 2 is removably fitted on the piping. Each unit 2 includes a plurality of fins 3 detachably stacked together by bolts 8 extending through apertures 7 in the fins 3 and spacer elements 8a. The complementary units 2 are clamped together by bolts 5 extending between straps 6. Each fin 3 includes a sealing flange 4 with heat conducting paste interposed between the flange 4 and the piping 1. A casing may surround the heat transfer element 22 to form a convector heater.
