Abstract

141,095. Minard, V. G. Dec. 2, 1918. Crop-sprayers.-In a spraying-machine for horticultural purposes the liquid in the tank c is stirred by part of the delivery liquid, which is returned to the tank through an extension d<1> of the delivery pipe ending in two branches d<2>, d<3>, one of which has a stop-cock h, while the other has an adjustable pressure valve f located above the level of the liquid. In one form the pump b, motor a, and tank c are mounted on a carriage, and the delivery pipe d has a number of nozzles e, to which the spraying tubes are connected. The pipe d<2> may have a number of valves f distributed at various points in the tank. According to the Provisional Specification, the valve f is placed near the bottom of the tank.
