Abstract

1410520 Electric watches SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 21 Dec 1972 [29 Dec 1971] 58777/72 Heading G3T In a balance oscillator for a timepiece, a driving and pick-up coil and/or the coil-holder is tapered axially of the balance to reduce air turbulence and thus improve the isochronism of the timepiece. In a first embodiment, Fig. 4, two balance wheels 11, 12 carry pairs of permanent magnets 14, 16 respectively, and the coil 24, which is supported by a member 21, comprises two base-tobase frusto-conical parts. In a second embodiment, Fig. 6, a portion 31 of the coil-holder 21, which extends around the circumference of the coil, comprises two base-to-base frusto-conical parts.
