Abstract

Devotional articles; partitioned boxes; contents, facilitating access to; lids.-A sick visitation case comprises a box A, Fig. 1, having, a partly open front and a sliding partition B with a hinged extension B<1>, which can be turned over to lie flat on the partition B. A sliding lid A', Fig. 2, having a handle is provided, and has a hinged extension adapted to close the open front of the box. A block H constituting a reredos is supported by pins in two open-ended slots, so that it can be rotated in such a manner as to bring a cricifix K and candles into a vertical position. The crucifix is mounted on a swivel J so that, when in the box, it can be turned to facilitate packing. On the underside of the extension B, are battens C1 which constitute supports for the candles when turned down, and hollowed-out portions, which accommodate the crucifix and a match-box and. holywater bottle. Similar recesses in the block H contain the holy-oil vessels. The box is closed by twin-buttons on the fixed part of the front wall. The lower compartment of the box serves to contain the linen, statues, finger-bowl, ritual, &c.
