Abstract

1405849 Grippers NUOVA SAN GIORGIO SpA 8 March 1973 [16 March 1972] 11259/73 Heading DID [Also in Division B8] In a textile spinning frame, a gripper 2 for donning bobbin tubes, and a gripper 1 for doffing fall bobbins, comprise integral, rigid parts 6, 11 enclosing resiliently deformable gripping sleeves 8, 20. Part 11 encloses rigid sleeve 16 having annular groove 17. The sleeves 8, 20 are secured by snapped-on collars 9, 21. To grip a tube, fluid is passed from supporting duct 4 via passage 13, groove 17 and passage 15 to contract sleeve 8. To grip a bobbin, fluid is passed from supporting duct 5 via passage 12 to contract sleeve 20. The fluid may be air. Plastic rigid parts and rubber resilient sleeves may be used.
