Abstract

1,249,677. Carrying away unwanted yarn. JAMES HOWORTH & CO. Ltd. 4 Dec., 1969 [5 Dec., 1968], No. 57715/68, Heading D1D. [Also in Division F2] A clamp for connecting a flexible tube B to a doffer suction tube C of a textile machine comprises a pair of arms which substantially encircle the tube and a nipple b to engage in a hole in the wall of the tube, the nipple being formed with an extension to receive an end of the flexible tube B. The ends of the arms may as shown be held together by a nut and bolt or by magnets or the arms may be formed of plastics material and be a spring fit on the tube C. The tube B may carry away unwanted yarn from a textile machine.
