1405471 Mould for electroslag remelting process INSTITUT ELEKTROSVARKI IMENI E O PATONA AKADEMII NAUK UKRAINSKOI SSR 31 Aug 1972 40294/72 Heading B3F A mould for use in an electroslag remelting process is provided with a hole 6 through which the slag 4 may be discharged after solidification of the molten metal. The hole 6 is closed by a tapered graphite plug 7 which may be knocked out by a mechanism 8 when it is required to discharge the slag. The upper part 5 of the mould is detachable from the lower part 2.
