Abstract

1402683 Valves KUFSTEINER ARMATUREN UND METALLWARENFABRIK GmbH 6 June 1973 [8 June 1972] 26954/73 Heading F2V A valve has a closure member 7 which is movable relative a seat 40 to control flow from an inlet 2 into a chamber 3, the fluid entering the chamber 3 along the surface of the closure member without flow separation. The valve spindle 8 has a square portion 16 received in a complementary recess 17 of a rotatable knob 18 and is screw threaded at 9, 10 in a guide member 5. A ring 12 is adjustably screwed into a second fixed ring 11 and carries a stop 14 for an abutment 15 on the spindle which prevents the resilient closure member from being screwed down too tightly on its seat. The seat is formed on an inlet member 4 having a conical bore and a rounded inlet end.
