Abstract

1402624 Coaxial to waveguide couplers SIEMENS AG 27 July 1972 [26 Aug 1971] 35060/72 Heading H1W The inner conductor 4 of a coaxial line 3, 4 carries a coupling loop 9, 10 extending axially within waveguide 1, broad-band tuning being provided by adjustable pins 13, 14 respectively situated in the vicinity of the loop and of a short axial extension 11 of the loop. The portions 9, 11 of the coupling may consist of a flat conductive strip which forms a transmission line with the waveguide wall and which may be loaded with a block 16 of dielectric material. The part 10 may consist of a threaded sleeve which receives a screw 12 extending through the waveguide wall. The device may form the output coupling of a travelling-wave tube attached via ring 15.
