Abstract

Casting-machines ; moulds; clamping moulds.-In a centrifugal casting- machine, the ends of the mould are supported in bearings which are relatively adjustable to permit its removal and introduction. The mould a may be divided into two parts which are connected by lugs and bolts a<1>, i and has taper ends d adapted to engage bearing- rings k in pedestals adjusted on guides g by a fluid-pressure cylinder, toggle-levers, or a right and left handed screw i. In introducing or removing the mould, it may be slung by a pulleyblock or supported by a V-block or on a pair of wedges n adjusted by a right and left handed screw o. The bearings may be ball or roller, and one or each of the rings k is provided with driving-means such as a friction cone, pinion, or a belt pulley m. The rotation of the mould may be stopped by a brake drum &c.
