Centrifugal machines. - A centrifugal casting machine, for cement &c., of the turret type has special mould mounting and driving arrangements and a rectilinearly movable pouring device. A notched flanged bush 5 carries an index bolt 11 controlled by a treadle 14 and bolted on supporting legs 3. A polygonal body 7 has an indexing flange 8 and mounts a driving shaft, terminating in a disc 20, in ball bearings. Mould carrying brackets 23 are bolted on to the faces and support mould carrying spindles in cradles 27 rocking about axes 26, and normally held in a position, in which friction wheels 31 on the mould spindles are disengaged from the disc 20, by springs 44 and safety catches 51. The moulds 41 are bolted to flanges 40 provided with rings of holes or with radial slots to provide for variations in the mould diameter. After removal of the castings the moulds may be coated by material supplied with the cooling water.
