Abstract

573,352. Pulleys blocks. CANSFIELD, N. Dec. 7, 1943, No. 20403, [Class 78 (v)] A guard for a pulleyblock comprises a casing e which is made separate from but supported by the side plates c of the block. The front e<4> of the casing is in one with the side faces e<3> and is hinged at h to the top e<2> which is integral with the back e<5>. The front and back faces are held together by bolts j which carry retaining rollers k for the cable g. The top is provided with keyhole slots f for the passage of the cables. The guard may be attached to the plates c by means of the nuts on the ends of the spindle b.
