Abstract

582,179. Wave guides. PERCIVAL, W. S. May 12, 1943, No. 7601. [Class 40 (v)] A wave guide 3 is provided with one or more longitudinal slots 4 ... 7 with the object of attenuating undesired waves of the H mode whilst permitting passage of waves of the E mode. As shown, the slots are arranged in sets, each set comprising a number of slots equally spaced round the circumference of the guide. The length of the slots may be adjusted by sliding sleeves 8. The Specification gives dimensions of the slots suitable for a particular wave length, and a particular size of guide.
