Abstract

1402201 Forging presses KOMBINAT UMFORMTECHNIK ERFURT VEB 3 Jan 1973 403/73 Heading B3H An eccentric operated forging press has its slide 2 driven by a double legged connecting rod 11 joined to an eccentric bushing 3 in the slide, which bushing is used to effect adjustment of the tool position relative to the bottom tool without changing the slide stroke. The bushing is mounted on a bolt (12), Fig. 2 (not shown), through the legs of the connecting rod 11 and held in a transverse recess in the slide 2 by a yoke 4. The yoke is biased against the bushing by double-arm levers 5 of which the outer ends are pivoted to pistons 13 of slide balancing cylinders 6. The eccentric bushing is rotated by a worm shaft 9 in engagement with a wormwheel segment 8. The adjustment is effected when the yoke is released from its tight engagement with the bushing by the unloading of the balancing cylinders 6.
